researching for our main task

to research for my film i watched the movie 'Scarface' which was appropriate as we were doing a similar opening sequence as Scarface. In the opening of Scarface the credits are red and there is library footage being shown and then there is the interviewing scene when tony Montana is getting interviewed by a few police officers and we get the impression that the actor playing Montana is made to feel very uncomfortable as he is being circled by two police officers and he is moving around uncomfortably in his chair, but yet he is still cheeky and sarcastic with the officers so we cant help but to like the character. We in our film take these key aspects of the film try to apply it to our own film

re-shooting and editing my main film again

As my group and i were not satisfied with our final film we decided to re-shoot yet again, this time we used a big hall in a school and the shoot went well and all the actors were on time which was good. After shooting we went back to school and imidiatly uploaded all the footage on to the computer and started editing which went well and after putting all the shots together we added music, library footage and titles. overall the editing went quite smoothly apart from a few problems with transfering files from computer to computer with memory sticks but eventually we overcame this problame and sucsessfully finished our film

Re-shooting and editing my main film

We decided to re-shoot our main film and this time we did it indors as working outdoors we felt we would not reach our full potential, the shoot went smoothly but when we got into the edditing suit we realised that we had positioned the camera in the wrongly therefore when we put the whole film together the actors werent looking at eachother when they were talking to eachother but lukily we found a way to flip the screne round to correct this error

editing my main film

On Friday i edited our main film. The editing process itself was quite simple and straightforward as we had a good variety of sub clips as we had filmed allot of shots. Most of our shots were quite dark which lead to the final product itself being dark so we may have to re-film earlier in the day to get lighter shots, i am now going to go through the edited film with the rest of my group and decide weather to re-shoot or stick with our original film and enhance it

My preliminary task

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Lb0oOSNcPU

Shooting my main task

Yesterday my group and i shot our main task, it was allot harder and longer than we anticipated even though we had planed everything out we came across some problems as our location was not as big as we anticipated and the cars we used both broke down as we had been using there headlights for a few hours. Also shooting in the dark was also allot more difficult than we had anticipated but we dealt with these problems one at a time and eventually finished shooting our film
We uploaded our film on to the computer today and no we look forward to editing

Researching for my main task

i chose to study the first 2 minuits of the film casino which is set in the early eighties in america

It begins with a bank screne with credits fading in and out slowly in the middle of the screen, and the sound of trafic is heard in the background. there is then a wide shot of a man walking out of what looks like a hotel or an up scale shopwho is wearing a pink and white suite and a voice is heard which we immidiatley link to the mans thoughts the camera follows the man as he walks across a street and gets into what looks like a classic old american cadilac. He gets in the car, turns on the engine and the car explodes, when the car explodes the fire from the explosion covers the whole screen and the screen remains covered in fire as dramatic operatic music starts and black shapes of bodies float across the screen as credits fade in and out slowly in the middle of the screen. The operatic music then becomes calmer and the bodies stop floating across the screne and the fire slowley merges in to brightly coulered neon lights which keep changing coulers and shapes (credits still running)
